Step 2: Choose Fit or Fill

Fill crops the edges so the image fills the entire poster grid. Use Fill when you want an edge-to-edge poster and you can accept some cropping. This works well for landscape photos, background art, and decorative posters.
If you are not sure which option to choose, start with Fit. You can switch to Fill later if the poster needs to cover the whole grid more aggressively.

Step 3: Choose paper size and poster grid
Most home printers use Letter paper in the United States and A4 paper in many other countries. Pick the paper size first, then choose how many pages wide and tall the poster should be.

Step 4: Export the tiled PDF

Step 6: Handle printer margins and overlap

Lay all sheets on the floor or a large table using the reference page. Arrange the pages by row and column before taping anything. This prevents accidentally flipping a page or putting one tile in the wrong position.
Start with the first row, then assemble each row separately. After the rows look correct, join the rows into the full poster. Taping from the back keeps the front cleaner.
